Looking for tires in 275/30/20 and 305/30/20. Not looking to spend the kind of dough needed for Michelins.

Anyone have experience or opinions on these two tires, or know of other tires offered in these sizes that you would recommend over these?

Thanks

No experience personally, but I'd opt for the Toyos if it were my choice.

I bought a set of 255/305 555G2 and I'm very happy with them. Very grippy. fairly quiet for a 305 tire. For the money they seam to be a very good tire.

Running 555g2 275 / 305, as bluebeastsrt stated, tires are quiet. Traction is decent. More of dry weather tire.

Running 255/275 G2's. For the money, they do well. I haven't put them on a track so I can't relate there. By 2nd gear they are grabbing on mine, flex tune only. I had them on the mountains a few weeks back and was pulling almost a G of grip. These tires are designed to provide good traction when wet as well. Pretty sure Steeda worked with NITTO on these. I also like the aggressive tread patterns.

I'm running 275/40 G2s all around on 19x10s and think they are doodoo. The traction is fine but the combination of a soft sidewall and a lot of tread squirm makes for really horrible handling characteristics. If I were to do it over I'd go with the new Continental Extreme Contact Sports.

Thanks all for the input. I am running air suspension and wonder if the Nitto's in 275 up front will be a little tight? They're advertised width is about 1/2" wider than the Toyo's. Any thoughts?

Tight in which direction? There is room up front for 305s.

If it were me, I'd go with the T1R. 275 should clear the air strut okay, but you may not be able to air out completely. You won't fit a 305/20 in there with the air strut and OE fenders.

You can do a 285 up front with air on Project 6GR wheels - seen that. If you have similar offset, should be fine.

I currently have the nt555 g2 275/35/20 x 305/30/20 and they are great! you really notice the difference compared to the stock Pirelli's. Not really familiar with Toyo's but i can say the Nittos are definitely worth it.

The 305 is for the rear, looking at 275 up front. According to Paul, this will fit. His thoughts indicated to me that going past that up front may be a little risky and/or I will not be able to air out.

The Toyo's are advertised as having a 10.6" overal width (based on a 9.5" rim) where as the Nitto's are spec'd at 10.94, so a little less difference than what I originally posted.

I like the idea of the Toyo's but I'm wondering if the tread is going to wear a lot faster than the Nitto's. Rating is lower, and from what I read they actually used to be rated at 140.

As far as running 305's up front, that is never going to happen on air, lol. Not without some seriously circus laughable camber.

We've been getting more orders for the NT555 G2 than the T1R.

I have nothing bad to say about the Toyo T1R's, they've been an outstanding tire and I have them in the exact sizes you're shopping for. I'm considering swapping to Continental ExtremeContact Sports (but the rears are currently on back order) because my fronts are worn on the inside and I have to get new tires. I'm also considering the Nitto's but the reviews haven't exactly sold me.
