mine isn't resting on the dash, just poor lighting. will get a better pic on wednesday. i made sure there was enough clearance to get the microSD card in/out with no fuss.@Racemaster and @rum_punch_ruby
It looks like both of you mounted it so that the weight of the gauge is resting on the dash. Do you think this is best to prevent any deformation to the A pillar trim?
@Racemaster When you mentioned you wished you had mounted it higher, did you mean higher towards the windshield or towards the tweeter?
Love the idea and strongly considering ordering the parts to do the same!
Yes. From the OBD port, over to the kick panel, then run it behind the black trim on the side of the dash by going behind the edge of it that is behind the weatherstrip. From the top of this trim piece there is enough give in the padded dash to fit it between the dash and the A pillar trim so you can exit at the top of the dash pad where you want it.So question. Is there enough space in between the pillar and dash for the cable to run through? It looked like it would get pinched.
Is there a place to run it down the side to the OBD port?
Thanks

Hope this helps!
Welcome! Best mounting solution I've seen yet so glad the OP shared. Thanks buddy
Looks good!Sorry for the delay in getting this pic but here is a shot with measurement from the dash.
Ah I see. My cable is flat so it makes it that much easier...Still a little nervous with how the tight the wire is but seems to be ok
