New member. Hi, guys!

Updated non-nav last night. Works ok, except for 2 things so far:

1. Maps and icons within Maps are zoomed all weird and are unusable, as if the DPI is wrong. All the other apps have the correct aspect ratio. Navigation works if I don't look at the map with the popup green notifications.

2. No audio in my Smart AudioBook reader app. Don't know what's up with that.

That fixed it for me. I know nobody else has reported that issue, but someone else is bound to run into it at some point.

I have tried multiple master resets and also a full battery disconnect several times. What do you guys think is going on?

would try re-downloading the update file in that case as well..

Updated on non-nav, no problems. Android Auto is good-to-go.

Also, YOU DO NOT NEED A PC TO DO THIS! A MAC WILL WORK FINE!

Yes, I did this all on my Mac. To make it work, you still need a flash drive that's formatted FAT32 or EXFAT. I'm not writing up instructions on how to do this because you can Google it.

The only hitch with this is that you can't just double-click the zip file in the Finder to extract the files. You need to use the `unzip` command in the terminal to properly expand the zip archives, but other than that the process is exactly the same. Hope this helps my fellow Mac users that may not have access to a Windoze box to update their cars.

I have tried different mirrors and different pcs and USB drives but I still get the same error.

mine did something odd today that it has never done before. I was listening to music off my iphone via USB and it kept playing but the screen locked I could not click anything. I turned off the car and opened the doors but the screen stayed the same with my music on it but the audio turned off. It stayed there for about 10 minutes after I shut off the car and then eventually tuned off and when I cranked the car again it was fine.

Mac guy here and also did the install to 2.2 and everything works great but ...


It won"t show a Apple CarPlay ICON. It will show the Android ICON.
Some have said you need a proper USB Hub to show the Apple CarPlay Icon.

You need the newer USB hub. The one that came with the car won't work with Car Play.

I thought the only thing you need to order is one of the G37Z-19A387 or GR3Z-19A387-B or GJ7Z-19A387. I didnt think you needed to order any other parts?
I understand that it will be a dual port and the usb under the stereo wont work.


Can someone clarify which one I can order and get in the next couple days as I need to help get my buddies 2016 sync 3 working. I have a 2015 w sync 2 unfortunately.
