The very last thing you can try is to go to the next size larger american or metric tap and get an aftermarket or custom crank pulley bolt.

Yep, i broke the MMR install bolt off in the crank, OMG :mad:

Drill and tap for a larger bolt. So far 10k miles on mine.

A horrible feeling for sure, when you're turning that bolt and it suddenly starts to get easier. I used a piece of threaded rod with a nut and washer on it. Got the damper about 95% on and felt that sucker start to get easier to turn instead of harder. Many swear words were yelled, and I thought I had pulled the threads out of the crank. Turned out that just the nut had stripped. I sure hope it turns out ok for you.
