I mean, I don't "hate" it, but I'm a little disappointed. Maybe it'll look better in person.

What disappoints me is that it really is just an appearance package. Corvette's 60th had a 427 (granted with similar HP numbers to the 4th gen Coyote - 505 vs 487) and a 6 speed only. Carbon fiber bits made it lighter and the combo made it "one of the fastest convertibles in the world" at the time. Yeah, apples to oranges in many ways, but still...both are 60th anniversary editions.

EDIT: I was curious about what Chevy did with the Camaro for its 50th, and the treatment was similar to what Ford has done with the 50th and now 60th anniversary editions. Appearance package basically.

Yeah I didn’t expect anything as far as power adders or anything. The 50th LE’s were the same thing, a couple colors and some appearance package stuff. I do dig the wheels though, although 20x9.5 or 20x10 would be better than 20x9.

Mags, I think I get the Vapor Blue choice, since the very first Mustang sold was a light blue one. That's my guess...

Aha. That makes some sense. A little darker than the original but that’s probably the closest out of the current color offerings

Atlas and Grabber Blue are available and are closer to those colors .

Maybe Vapor is going away so that’s the last chance at that color? Maybe it’s like Rowdy said and is an homage to the first Mustang sold (although Brittany from S550 would be closer to that color, or that Sydney Sweeney car they just gave away). Could also be some random selection too .

Great article for the Mustang faithful. First Mustang I really remember was a family friend who bought a red 68 coupe. Bucket seats were a real big deal to a 10 yr old boy who normally rode around in the family ranch wagon, lol.

I was going home from work and heard it was"national mustang day" on the radio and said" OK you don't have to twist my arm" so I broke Mia out of jail and did some NH twistys with her. The thing makes my heart race, gives me sweaty palms and a smile that has to be surgically removed. I love this car. Happy mustang day everyone. Speed safely.
