I find it comical when people ask if we've adjusted the settings. There's not really much to adjust. Bass, mid, treble, fade, and driver/passenger. The system is plain lacking regardless of how you adjust these simple settings.
It's not just the settings on the car though. I've had much better luck when I started tinkering with the EQ on the iphone while using it over Bluetooth. I don't know what all it does to the bluetooth audio out, but now bluetooth audio sounds way better than FM radio or Satellite.

Since my car is not a DD and I bought it as a fun-to-drive performance car, the sound system wasn't of paramount importance. However, I had hoped for something more from Ford's supposed top-of-the-line system. I have to agree this system is very weak - sound is mediocre at best! Obviously Ford cut some corners here. Heck the system in my Ford Ranger is better!

I have heard Stoli's system first hand. It was just after I was letting someone hear my shaker pro. Stoli's system is night and day better.

I thought the previous gen Shaker was decent enough, at least bass wise. I dont care for junk in the trunk but that car had full subs in the doors. This new model has some very thin doors.

That being said, I am still VERY salty about the sound system. I had a Focus with MFT and that sound system was WAAAY better than this. How does a 30-40k premium mustang have a crappier system than a 22k focus?!

Shaker Pro is definately a Pro disappointment. The sound reminds me of my first new car 25 years ago... crap. And I only get 2 FM stations (1 in HD) in a major market. Hoping the dealer just forgot to do an update on the head unit.

I replaced the upper door speaker in my '13 GT/CS (had the Shaker Pro) with Infinity Kappa 682.11 and man what a difference. The Shaker Pro in the '15 is no where as good as the one in my '13. I guess I'll have to look at changing the speakers out at the very minimum. What a disappointment this system is.

The speakers bothered me so much i had a dream i was in a stereo shop looking for new equipment. Haven't been speaker shoping since 2009, should be fun

It's not bad when you use a decent source.

1 = HD radio
2 = CD
3 = 320kb mp3
99 = sirius

I hate that I pay $15 a month to sirius for such a crappy 128kb stream.

The radio in my wife's $19000. Chevy Sonic three times better than my $43000. GT PP with a nine speeker w/ amp system. That's the only thing that disappoints us with this car.

HD radio is actually pretty poor and the frequency range is crap. It maxes out at 300kbit/s and falls back to a meager 25kbit/s quite often.

I'd go with:

1 = CD/Lossless rips
2 = High-bitrate MP3/AAC
3 = Medium-bitrate MP3/AAC
4 = HD radio
5 = Low-bitrate MP3/AAC
99 = Sirius/XM

I'm with you regarding the disappointment with the Shaker Pro system in the '15 Mustang. If you would, post what you come up with. I may be interested in doing something similar.

I had the same results.

Download a good EQ app. It should let you control EQ settings on anything you play on your phone.

It made the system sound 100x better.

A side note, call Sirius and tell them you got a promotional rate for $19.99 for 6 month. That's what I do and it works every time. :cheers:

Anyone have the link to speakers they swapped out on the pro system? Any after the swap is there a noticeable difference?
