Just an idea, but would adding a piece of rubber on the inside of your solid shifter balls help with preventing them from being over tightened and breaking? It would also add enough resistance to help keep the ball still while tightening the jam nut allowing easier alignment for those of us that are ocd like that lol

that is a good idea. it will not keep someone from breaking it if they still keep turning but it sure will cut it down. also it should preload the threads to eliminate any slop.

it installs just like the bench video and you can also reference the original video on the site for the removal of the poem and the main prep to install the shifter. it really does just work just like the video

Thanks, George!

Been putting if off, but just ordered one. I love this (from Terms of Service on the web site): DUE TO OUR CONSTANT STRIVE TO IMPROVE OUR PRODUCT LINE, THE DESIGNS OF OUR PRODUCTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Because it's true. Fitting a fully assembled shift mechanism from the top made it happen. Videos are excellent too.

That is all...

hold on there Skippy!!!!! lol....jk

just to be clear here...you still have to install the bridge and linkage from UNDER the car. You just do not have to assemble the main shifter. Hope this is understood!!

Certainly! I just didn't want to try and wrestle it past my aftermarket driveshaft. Was going to make an appointment for next year, drive over and have you guys do it, but your improvement made that a game changer. Has it shipped yet? ;);)

YOLO... pull the trigger. :D
