Hello,

Does any one know the max speed allowable in each gear with a 3.73?

Used to own a C6 vette with 3.42 gears which I always felt were a little too high for a manual, i'd be able to get to ~ 75 in second gear.
An s2000 with 4.10s felt almost perfect for city / track driving even though you'd have to hit 3rd to get to 60, but definitely fun and very involving.

Thanks!

Looks like the following:

1 - 42MPH
2 - 63MPH
3 - 91MPH
4 - 117MPH
5 - 154MPH
6 - 237MPH (If you could actually get it going that fast, believe its limited to 164MPH)

My calculations could be off though.

Depends on redline and tire size too...Ecoboost with PP (3.55) on stock tires hits 57mph at rev limit in 2nd.

2nd seemed to endure an 80MPH downshift (accident), albeit not gracefully. It was a scary moment.

which destroys 0-60 times
Absolutely true. Though 0-60 is only relevant because we say it is, really...I've never felt the need to be at exactly 60 (but no faster) as fast as I can.

Not really! I raised the rev limiter to 7200 just so I could see what I could do 0-60 with only a 1-2 shift.

Holding it in second to 60 nets me mid 5 sec times. Shifting to 3rd around 5500 rpm nets me mid 5 sec times.

I haven't found the sweet spot on my launch to get to the low 5's yet.

This is the reason the PP loses the 1/4 mile contest. 4th gear is done right before the traps, and you have to shift to 5th. There goes 0.2 seconds.

I can concur with most of these. I think 2nd tops out at 60 or so even though the 0-60 app doesn't register without a shift to 3rd and that my speedo doesn't indicate 60 in second. I think I GPS verified it does hit 60 though.

3rd is right around there maybe up to 87

4th for me I think was about 107...might have to re-accomplish that to be sure

5th 143 is dead on for me

the henessey video tops out at 195 due to drag to power ratio limitations. The gear itself tops out much higher.

Fast forward to about the 3 minute mark you can clearly see it hits the rev limiter at 195mph. You can even hear the driver say "hit the limiter at 195".
