So I just had my 16 GT PP dyno'd on a Dynojet with my Lund Flex Fuel tune after switching from a regular Lund tune and am pretty disappointed. Best run was 411.93 whp and 365.76wtq. Mods are JLT CAI, SW LTH w/cats, Borla CB and the Lund FF Tune. Seems quite low compared to what I've seen on here. Wondering if I just had some crappy ethanol. I just had filled up full on corn and had maybe 45miles to empty on 93. Wondering if I didn't let it mix enough or should've got it lower on 93. Followed Lund's advice when switching and in addition let it idle for 15mins. Afr was showing like it was burning the e-85, hovering around the 10s. I'm in Indiana and it's pretty humid in the shop. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Did you dyno there stock to see the difference? What gear was the pull done in? DA? Temp? Do you have a log to share? Don't get hung up on the dyno comparison, no one will be the same.

Don't sweat it, most likely the heat and fuel mix.

Never did a bone stock pull. Was at 401whp after same mods w/tune originally. I have access to all the newest dyno info, but just learning how to use WinPEP7 though so not sure how upload that on here. Conditions were 84.5 F, Humidity 36%. Pull was in 4th.

Sounds right for a pull in 4th. Wouldn't be surprised to see 430whp in 5th. Like said above, don't get hung up on the number without before info on the same dyno. E85 will net a 10-15whp gain from my experience and others. You probably do have a light ethanol percentage with still having 43 miles to empty of 93 before your fill up. I filled mine when I was 18 miles to empty and still took another fill up before I saw closer to true e85. You are probably at about e50-60.

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Don't worry about dyno numbers, I am sure your tune is fine.

you should have drained more 93 out before filling with corn.. do worry.. I did the same thing.. lol... Sounds like a heartbreaker dyno too.

IIRC, I lost 10-15whp doing it in 4th instead of 5th. Don't worry about the numbers, especially since you don't have a base to go off.

This may be a dumb question but I've wondered it since I got my car almost a year ago...

Why dyno theses cars in 5th (I know it's 1:1)?

When I drag race I don't shift into 5th is why I'm asking.

You just answered your own question.

Thank you to everyone who has responded. Maybe my tuner is still getting to know the newer cars which is why he did it in 4th. I will try another few pulls in 5th next time with ethanol in the car for a few tanks and see what it makes.

Your numbers are fine.

It's about how the car feels, not the numbers.
Good to hear. I definitely feel a difference in throttle response when switching between fuels.
