I've been looking at various tire brand/size combos for a 20x10/20x11 set of wheels. I feel like I am set on a 315/35R20 Nitto NT05R for the rear but I can't decide what to run on the front. I've seen 275/35 and 285/35 fronts paired with that rear tire, but I don't know if I like that much tire height up front. I mean, it does look good, but I would like to see the 315/35 rear with a 285/30 front, preferably on a lowered car, to see if it looks like too much of a difference, or if it gives it a little bit of the muscle car look.

Does anyone happen to have any pictures of that combo?

Thanks!

I havent seen a 285/30 and 315/35 why would you want to run it that way brotha?

The front profile is always thicker then the rear, or in the case of the S550 the same profile front back most cases.

Well I may not be clear on the sizes, but what I imagined that combo looking like is a slightly shorter tire in the front with a slightly taller tire in the rear. Granted, there may be way too much of a difference between those two sizes

What sizes are you recommending for that setup?

My recommendation is the folllowing depending on brand

275/35/20 & 305/35/20 ( mickey thompson)
285/35/20 & 305/35/20 ( limited brands and their pricey so not really the best combo)
275/35/20 & 315/35/20 ( Nitto Invo, NT05 etc Conti DW, DWS)

The diameter difference between the two tires you're looking at is almost 2". IMO that'll look a bit goofy. If you're set on running 10" and 11" wheels maybe do a 265/35 up front and then a 295/305/315 35 series on the rear. That will get you to a touch less than 1" to about 1 1/4" difference in diameter respectively depending on width.

I've got a set of 20 X 10/11 wheels on order and I'm almost positive I'm gonna run a 285/30 and 305/30.

See running a 285/305 in a 30 profile front back is fine it looks fine OD is similar also. but running a thinner profile tire upfront then a thicker one in the rear is odd.

I'm running 20x9.5 in the front with 275/35/20 Nittos and 20x10.5 in the rear with 315/35/20.

This fitment is already super tight! i think 285/30/20 on the front will rub big time on a stock car

hope that helps

A 285/30 is about 3/4" shorter in diameter than a 275/35

I personally would run 275's up front vs the 285's. Better fitment.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I didn't realize there was that significant of a difference between the sizes I was asking about. You all have me leaning toward 275/35 front and 315/35 rear.

How do you mean? Nitto's target wheel width for a 285/30r20 is 10". Seems most manufacturers target a 9.5" wide wheel for a 275 tire.

It depends on the brand of tire.

I have to respectfully disagree. 285/35 305/35 is the best evar

I'm a lil biased
