So I made a boo boo yesterday. I am at least bold enough to admit when I mess up. So I turned on Launch Control and was ready to just dump the clutch and go. Light goes green, dump the clutch and nothing happens. Turns out I was in 3rd, not 1st. :headbonk: Now my clutch has a slight stutter/shudder to it when I release it first gear. Everything else is fine. No nanny lights are on. Clutch pedal still feels vague even with the Steeda clutch spring. I am wondering if I did any damage to the clutch plate. No other noises coming from the tranny besides the normal clunks and thunks of engaging and disengaging the clutch. Those noises have happened since I got the car.

Did it smell burnt up? Did the car actually just sit there and rev out?

No burning smell and yes it sat there and revved out trying to launch. But I pushed in the cluch to get it back to normal.

Sounds like an expensive lesson to learn.

Always first gear. Which is out of my usual habit. I pop into neutral everytime at a stop light. This one time though.

The best one is the yellow corvette smoking the clutch.

I always thought that one was weird. He is at a service garage and no one knew what was going on... Red flag to go somewhere else right there.
