I apologize if this is a silly question. I'm trying to decide if I should buy a new oil separator or modify an old one. I have an older JLT oil separator that I took off my 08 GT before I sold it. I was going to put in on my 15 GT but I realized the hoses wont fit. Any reason why I can't cut the stock PCV hose on the 15 and splice in the separator that way? Or should I just buck up and get a new separator? Are new verson 3.0 JLT seperators that much better? Thanks!

I just installed the 3.0. The hoses just looked like a factory hose chopped in half.

To convert that to fit your car you would need to cut your factory hose.

Also one if the fittings at the can would need to be swapped out for a 90 degree fitting. The can also would need to be oriented backwards as the filter is on the opposite side. (oil needs to enter into the filtered side)

I agree, don't hack up that one. Sell it for $80 (seems typical used priced on the separator) and get the nice new one for your setup :)
