Hi guys! Just bought a 2015 V6 Convertible. I'm a long time convertible owner (NA, NB, and NC Miatas and an MR2 Spyder) but this is my first Mustang. Believe it or not I went to buy a 2014 base GT 'vert based on a positive experience I had renting a 2011 GT 'vert for my birthday weekend a few years back. Other than the engine I liked everything about the S550 better... the looks, the ride, the tech, and the handling. I'll be the first to say that it's nothing special at least when it comes to Mustangs. Unfortunately I couldn't afford an S550 GT 'vert but maybe someday. Until then, I'm going to enjoy a lot of sunny days in this one!

Welcome! Beautiful V6, don't ever think less because it's not a V8. You get what you can afford and go from there. Congrats and look forward to seeing your mods !

Hey everyone!

Finally got my dream car! A few weeks ago I bought my new 2016 Mustang GT. Loving it! My dad had one growing up and I guess you can say I am following in his footsteps and bought myself one a few days ago. It's an automatic :stick: but white with black cloth interior (not a fan of leather). It has the back up camera but no navigation (not a big deal). Paid 29g out the door with only 3,900 miles

A month later and I clicked over 9k miles and just put some AMSOIL in it

Extremely happy with this beast so far. I have an Injen Evolution intake but plan on doing more very soon.

I am coming from a 2011 Cruze LTZ but before that I had a Grand Prix GXP (LS4 V8 and souped up). So I am familiar with a V8 but not quite like this :rlaugh:

Anyway, what are some things to keep an eye out for? Also, what are some good things to do as preventative maintenance and to beef up down the road?

Hello all! Just got my new 2016 V6 mustang and I'm loving it. I've had two V-8 mustangs in the past (1991 LX 5.0 / 1999 Cobra) and never thought I would like the smaller engines, but surprise surprise. Maybe I'll go back to a V-8 in the future...:ford:

I know this site is geared towards the GT / 5.0L crew, & that's OK, I used to be 1 of you too. Always had a 5.0L or 4.6L since 1989. Until now. Wanted to try the 3.7L with the new S550 body , with manual, to see what it's like. The 3.7 looks like a GREAT Mustang motor !!! So far so good !!! Thanks !!!

I drove 50 miles to find my V-6 with a manual. The local dealer had almost 40 mustangs and only 5 were sticks! All but one were the 5.0. The V-8's were a little outta my price range at the moment. Used to be the stick was the most popular, but I guess times are changing... Fun car so far. I'm loving this new body style. It doesn't matter which engine you pick, they all look bad ass!
