Indy 500 tires in the cold?

I know that OP already bought the AS3+ but for the benefit of others who may find this thread in a search-
I drove home today from work in 35 degree weather and it was raining (not super hard but hard enough that my wipers were off of intermittent and on low). I wasn't driving aggressively but I did have to make an evasive move because someone pulled out in front of me and I had zero problems on my Firehawks; no slipping or sliding.

I had a 2012 Civic Si in KY with those tires. 6 inches of snow and I did okay as long as I drove slow. I only needed help once getting back on the road and luckily a nice guy used his truck to get me out.
