The handling allows for consistent > 1g turns - before Aero mods...

Edit:

This is after the near-full compliment of Steeda suspension mods. And it is with larger tires than I should use :D (285's on 9.5 width)

John, you've changed out your rear diff fluid, correct? If so, to what?

We have discussed the mustangs diff overheating issue with a few of our customers who do serious track driving. With the higher EGT's and position of the rear pipes, the exhaust can definitely subject the differential to additional heat soak. Using a quality header wrap on the section of piping around the diff should help prevent this heat soak. It may not solve the issue completely by itself, but in combination with quality fluid, and say an external cooler, you would be MUCH better off.

Many thanks!
Yes! something quite helpful that I can do immediately!!

If you have any specific recommendations I am glad to follow them... Left to my own, the idea of scavenging heat from under the length of the car sounds attractive...

Thanks and regards - J

Replacements, the shop broke them (which is, by the way, the least of the damage from the dealer's service work)

You can find the header wrap for a lot less @ Jegs, Summit, or Amazon.

All I saw were little white X'es in black boxes until I posted a reply.

If the broken ones are only cracked in one place, they're still sort of usable. They can be super-glued but will re-break in the same place unless you're extremely careful removing or re-installing them.
