I've never been a fan of any type of an Automatic transmission. Basically if it will shift gears without any driver input, I consider it an Automatic. I do believe that the DSG is a better than a traditional slush box so I included that as a choice in the poll.

In this particular car, stick. We also have a 10' Jetta with a manual, love the car...would love it more with an auto.

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
I'd consider it, but it would be tough to give up the manual, it would need to be some DSG.

Only if it's a 4R75W for those fast, crisp shifts and its optimized gear ratios.

lol.

I will say that after finally having an automatic in my prior 2015 Charger SRT (8 speed ZF) which shifted extremely fast, responded to the paddles immediately and would bark the tires very aggressively, it wouldn't be so bad if I was going to daily drive this car with any type of commute. The new Ford/GM 10-speed looks promising, especially in the ZL1 and Raptor applications. My preference is that the 6-Speed manual is the way to go in this car based on my infrequent use and for it making you much more a part of the driving experience.

No way Jose. That's part of the fun, driver immersion and engagement. Blip on a heel toe approaching a turn and it sounds incredible. Anybody can operate a paddle shifter.

As long as they have a manual option, thats all I really care about. I also think its pretty cool that whenever you see a GT350, its guaranteed to be manual only.

No auto for me. I want to >drive< the car, not merely "ride" in it! :-)

if it was dct like in a ferrari or a porsche, I would have bought one.

I love me a 6spd, but i've already had the tailshaft housing replaced once under warranty, on top of coolergate 2016.

my only ownership experience with a dual-clutch automated transmission was in a vw mk5 gti. yes it shifts fast, but in stop and go traffic my neck got tired of my head imitating a bobblehead doll. i just had some passenger time in a 2009 GT-R and it wasn't much better despite the ludicrous acceleration that thing was capable of. and ditto for a DCT M3. if it's to jerk around like that i would rather do it with a manual transmission and only have myself to blame.
