Poughkeepsie Ford is now doing business as Friendly Ford. My experience with them has been great. I got exactly the trade-in allowance I was expecting on my BMW. They honored the truecar.com price….actually they did $100 better. My salesman returned all my calls in a timely manner and answered all questions that I had. And so far, the service department has given me first-class service on the work I needed to be done. I've had no problems with them and I would recommend them.Actually I went to them as the very first place to ask some questions way back in the beginning of August '14 and the salesperson I spoke to told me they weren't expecting to have a '15 Mustang to look at until late November and they wouldn't be taking orders for convertibles until January. I never pursued anything further with them, under new ownership with a big chair or not. ;)
The place that didn't want my business is up in Kingston, NY. I went to them because when they were Johnson Ford, I had bought an Escort and an F150 from them and they were great.
Now they are owned by a big chain of dealerships so I guess they didn't need my business. I have bought over 20 new cars and I have never had a dealer not want to take my money once I have started talking to them. :tsk:
I had also went to the Ford Dealer in Beacon, NY but I couldn't tell you about them other then that for 15 minutes around 11am on a Tuesday I walked around in the little showroom and outside on the little lot looking at the colors of the Fusions and not one employee ever approached me. Perhaps I was dressed like a that day.
Thank goodness for Sunshine, I was starting to run out of Ford dealers!
