I was actually looking at this the other day, except instead of using a hole in the underbelly pan I would use the foglight hole. In the same thought process as the brake cooling ducts from the fogs to the rotors, you can run that up to the air box.

Yes it don't fit. As of right now I've used heat tape to keep them together. Need to find a big enough hose/tubing to connect the two with some sort of clamps or could also do the drilling and zip ties method. It's a weird irregular shape so it's going to be rough trying to get a perfect seal but will find a way.

Just using the tape method, snorkel, and big mouth, with a PMAS has given me CAI temps of slightly higher or equivalent temps to ambient. Did not do the bottom tubing though. Also have Roush heat extractors and might alter those to prevent any air pressure issues under the hood. Figure if I'm adding more air inside then I need a way to release the excess that not consumed by the Engine.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

does removing the hood insulator lower IAT's?

I'm thinking it might increase temp, due to creating a big gap between the box seal and the hood.

I've done this exact thing. It's a bitch to get your arm in there....but for sure help bring the IATs down when I get moving!

Gibbo205, was wondering if you looked at the Head Cooling Mod? There are a few kits out there and a DIY.

So they've resolved this issue with the newer mod engines?
Can’t recall seeing anyone with a 2015+ that experienced that.
