Instructional vid on disabling the seat belt chime. Must be done for each front seat. Repeat process to turn back on.

Not to sound like an ass, but also buckling your seatbelt turns off the chime. Not sure why you'd want to cruise without your seatbelt on.

It's quite ridiculous that there are people nowadays that just refuse to wear their seatbelts.:headbonk:

I always wear my seatbelt but don't need reminded to put it on. Also if I take off to get mail at end of driveway I don't want to hear chime.

Given this litigatorical society we live in, I'm surprised Ford even gives the owner this option. Can't you hear the plaintiff now?

'Your honor, Ford owes me a lot of money because I got in a crash and didn't have my seat belt on to prevent injury'.

'But didn't you disable your reminder?'

'Yes, but Ford allowed me to do it and after I did it, I forgot to buckle up so I got hurt.'

'Judgement granted to the plaintiff!'.

Sounds ridiculous but i would NOT be surprised!

So many people also make videos of 'hey, listen to this weird noise I have in my interior' or 'check out the new sound of my intake' and they sit in the driveway revving the car to demo it with the seatbelt chime going bong, bong, bong.... Either click it or turn it off.

We should just go back to automatic seat belts that use the door frame.

Haha I didn't even know this was a seat belt chime. I thought the car was just meant to go "bong bong" every time you turn it on.

I always thought it was annoying so thanks for posting this!

And I always wear my seat belt, by the way. It's just that I usually put it on after starting the car.

God please not those strangulation devices again. :D I remember my girlfriend's Eclipse having those things and if you tried to get out of the car too quickly, look out! Awful. Absolutely awful.

When you put a harness in for track time you don't want to buckle your seatbelt.

First mod I did. And I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt. It has saved my ars in two previous collisions (neither were my fault).

I will do this and I always use my seatbelts when actually driving. \If you dont use your restraints you should probably have the airbags disconnected. They can be fatal in even a small collision if unrestrained.

Oh, thank God. Finally I don't have to hear the damned chime when I drive up the street to the neighborhood bar. And do you know how hard it is to buckle up after a hard night of drinking?? :headbonk: :D
