I'm removing my old stripes in preparation of getting my new ones installed and it seems they ran the stripes under the spoiler. I removed the 4 bolts for the spoiler and I know there's 3m tape, but I'm pulling so hard I can see the sheet metal on the trunk lifting up, I don't want to break anything. Any tips?

Try heavy nylon string or fishing line kind of like dental floss.

Just pull.......

When I removed my blade spoiler (to install a track pack) I used a plastic razor blade to 'cut' the 3m tape.

There is a CJPonyparts video that shows a different way (taping the paint and using a paint scraper type tool).

Tried the fishing line, heat gun, can't get past the bolts and can't raise the spoiler enough to feed the line through. I'm no wimpy guy either. I actually put a couple dents in the trunk trying to lift the spoiler up some. So I gave up. I'll see what the guy installing the new stripes can do and see if a paintless dent remover can clean up the dimples. Eventually I'll probably just get a new trunk lid with no holes drilled in it and do the R spoiler.

I used a heat gun to heat up the 3M tape and pull upward with a controlled force. If the once you release on side the rest should come up pretty easy.
