Uncorking the exhaust on a car with 12:1 compression might actually make it sound worse. I've seen this done on Mercedes AMG time and again and they just turn out blatty and unbearably loud.
It doesn't on E9X M3s :)

I don't know about every E9x exhaust setup, but I've heard some absolutely terrible sounding S65 M3's before. Nasally/snotty is how I would describe it.

Those are just idiots that pull all the cats and resonators. Trust me, we dont' like them either. Nearly any cat-less exhaust with a minimal set of resonators is going to sound pretty badass, especially when you get over 5k rpm :)

I a thinking more of what a set of long tube headers will do. It does not have to be louder, necessarily, just better.

I did notice in some of the engine pics that the left rear-most exhaust tube has a bit of a pinch in it for some reason (steering shaft, brake booster clearance or something?). Not sure if 4-2-1 tri-Ys are necessary on an even-pulse flat crank motor over standard 4-1 headers, but yeah, I would be interested in hearing a more uncorked GT-350 without the factory headers. Maybe the reason Ford is using those slightly odd tri-Ys is to create a lumpier, more traditional bent-crank American V8 sound?
"It flows into a header manifold that is TIG-welded by hand with a four-into-three-into-one design. (Four-two-one is ideal, but packaging around power steering forced this design.)"

Good god pulling the cats on a C63 is worse than murduring puppies.

I don't think longtubes will have as great an effect on the Voodoo as it does on the Coyote due to the firing order and bank balance. Hell it could possibly hurt performance if the exhaust pulses are already perfectly balanced that short headers promote scavenging. Time will tell of course.

I like the fact that it has such a unique sound - everyone will hear the GT350 coming from a mile away!
Hopefully it has some backfire/burble characteristic similar to the F-Type, tho.

Omgosh!!! That sounded like somebody grabbed a PMS'ing jaguar by the last left nipple and twisted the hell out of it.

What the heck man?! That was the most dynamic change in exhaust character I have ever witnessed.

I remember removing the exhaust plates from my 2013 Boss and feeling I was driving a beast but crap man!... That is a feral ass cat right there!!!

Anyone know if there's another Ford/Mustang event going on this coming weekend?

PA was a bit too far of a drive.

We recently has a national MCA event in Georgia. I was disappointed that Ford did not show up with a 350 for us to purvey.
