Any pics of one of these installed with a view inside the car so that we can see how much lower in the shifter housing it will sit?WELL... here is some candy to help you cope
To be clear, the same as with the MT82, TR6060, etc, the TR3160 in the GT350 needs to tip down at the rear in order to fit your hands up above the transmission. The transmission crossmember is removed and the back of the transmission is slowly lowered down a few inches. The transmission does not come out or get removed - just tilted down a little for the shifter install. It then goes back up and the transmission is attached and in the same position as original.Yea any additional info on the install? Does the transmission need to come down for this install?
Life is too short. This is a great car. It deserves a great shifter. Here I am wanting this so bad but I promised myself I wasn't going to turn a wrench on this car.
The shifter ends up in pretty much the same position as before. Here are some shots of when mine went in.Any pics of one of these installed with a view inside the car so that we can see how much lower in the shifter housing it will sit?
You can buy one from a bunch of different places, CJ pony parts sells them. Pretty reasonable, only about 320-400$ if memory serves me correctEpiphany,
Thanks for the pics. Slightly off topic, but why does your steering wheel have the red center accent, I though that was only the Rs, did you swap or am I mistaken?
Back on topic, very much looking forward to receiving the shifter!
Where did you see it at to put it into your cart? I'm not seeing it on the site.I just loaded my cart from MGW.
Link?? I don't see it either.It's there for me!
Is this a good shifter install video for the 350?
