I put over 300 miles of dyno time on my first GT350 (16 track pack) before the car had 100 miles on the odometer.
Never used any oil.
Once the weather breaks Iā€™ll be doing the same to my 18R.
I donā€™t believe in pussy footing break ins. I donā€™t abuse my cars but I do drive them and I pull red line pulls once the engine oil and coolant temps are at max operating temps.
Of the 30+ years of engine tear downs and builds Iā€™ve yet to see a problem. Iā€™m not saying others should follow my advice but itā€™s always worked good for me.
I keep the factory oil in for 200 miles, drain and change oil and filter.
I use amsoil and change after every other race day or 8 hours.
Street driving I change every season. I rarely put 500-1000 street miles on per year.
I also strictly run race fuel. I never run pump gas.
I swap spark plugs every other race day or 8 hours of track time.
What race fuel do you run?

So, what is it exactly you're trying to figure out?
I am trying to get the good representation of data to find the last built chassis number.
my database also tracking the engine build dates and when they switch to the next MY

what I found strange is that there were 5951 GT350's made in 2017, and 906 GT350R's thats a total of 6857
my GT350 chassis number is 6088 yet there were only 5951 GT350's I thought that the chassis numbers were
not reused reguardless of the car type. but I have seen both H0689 and HR689 so are some chassis
numbers skipped?... I have like a million questions and the data that is out there does not match up with real world data.

for 2017 the VIN Numbers start at 1FA6P8JZ9H5510000 the 9th number is a check code and the formula to create VIN Number.
I have found chassis number H6082 with VIN of 1FA6P8JZ3H5527021
My car "Chassis Number H6088 has a VIN of 1FA6P8JZ0H5527090

thats 6 Sequence numbers between them, yet the actual available Seq, Numbers between is 69
so that shows that they dont use all available VIN's

The last Vin Number should be 1FA6P9JZ2H5533246 thats 23,248 usable VIN Numbers, in 2017 so again another mystery for my brain to want to solve..

The Java the code for the Check Digit is:
private static int transliterate(char c) {
return "0123456789.ABCDEFGH..JKLMN.P.R..STUVWXYZ".indexOf(c) % 10;
}

private static char getCheckDigit(String vin) {
String map = "0123456789X";
String weights = "8765432X098765432";
int sum = 0;
for (int i = 0; i < 17; ++i) {
sum += transliterate(vin.charAt(i)) * map.indexOf(weights.charAt(i));
}
return map.charAt(sum % 11);
}

private static boolean validate(String vin) {
if(vin.length()!=17) return false;
return getCheckDigit(vin) == vin.charAt(8);

The check Digit code formula for Excel is:
=IF(MOD(342+(MID("Seq SN",1,1)*7+MID("Seq SN",2,1)*6+MID("Seq SN",3,1)*5+MID("Seq SN",4,1)*4+MID("Seq SN",5,1)*3+MID("Seq SN",6,1)*2),11)=10,"X",MOD(342+(MID("Seq SN",1,1)*7+MID("Seq SN",2,1)*6+MID("Seq SN",3,1)*5+MID("Seq SN",4,1)*4+MID("Seq SN",5,1)*3+MID("Seq SN",6,1)*2),11))
