I'm talking absolute base any option will put you over 50k but I think Ford will keep it cheap.

Man I hope you guys are wrong about a 50K+ base price... That just doesn't seem quite right to me. I was thinking along the lines of the OP that this would be fairly close to Boss 302 pricing. I mean something seems off about a GT350 costing as much as or more than a GT500... Even if it is newer.

But on the bright side, if it IS $50K+, it will make the dilemma I've been considering a non-issue. I was thinking of potentially trading in my '15 GT PP when this car came out if it was starting <$45K. If it costs over $50K, I'll just save that money for the C7 I've been lusting after.

Both of those cars are winners!

>48K <55K <60K >65K ? who really knows!
If this car is at the same level as the Z/28
then I would expect it to be near or at the
same price range, especially if it is a 2016
m.y. vehicle, your way way off if you think it
will be anywhere near the 48K range. I pray
it's not in the upper 60's but again who knows.

I don't think it's a Z competitor. I stand by saying between boss and GT500 base price. Gotta stay below vette prices and leave the top end for the R. Hopefully we will know early next year

If it has over 500 hp in a modern engine, less weight, and an updated chassis, I don't see why it wouldn't be able to compete with the Z... But the fact alone that it could compete with it (or even beat it) on a track should not be enough reason for it to be priced that high, I would think. So I think/hope you're right about the price point.

Also, the Z28 has CC Brakes and lots of CF parts, so if You take all those away, You come out with a much cheaper car.
