Hi guys, got my mustangs paint protection sorted this week.

Went with g texhniq crystal serum, if you don't know much about the product I recommend you google it. You will be very impressed. From what I've been told by many detailers it is the best of the best.

I know many have you have opted for opticoat but I've heard that it's not quite what it's cracked up to be and great marketing helps to push it along.

Anyway car came out perfect I'll post some pics.

Also anyone interested I can get a very very good deal

Crystal serum is like a second clear coat the only way to remove it is with 3000 grit sand paper..... So it's extremely durable.

Looks good. I haven't heard of that product, but keen to see what your thoughts are on long term durability.

I went with Ceramic Pro for mine, after 6 months it's as good as the day it was applied (to be expected I guess).

Can you please pm me details of your detailer & pricing? I'm hoping to get mine done soon after getting the car. Thanks

Jonathan; if you don't mind me asking, who is your local shop?

I will need one when my car arrives and I am considering selling a couple of my other cars so a good detailer could come in very handy.

I was going to go aftermarket as well but then realised the dealer does GTechniq instead of the usual stuff you get from the dealers. They have the GTechniq trainer teaching them how to apply their products. If price is reasonable will just get it done before I pick it up. Suits me, getting lazier as I get older. :clap2:

Was going to get either gtechniq, toughseal or opticoat anyway, so all good.

http://time2shine.com.au in North Narrabeen. I have not used (yet) but the body shop around the corner that I do use recommended him.

Worth a call in - nice guy and very helpful.

He said he was getting a Mustang in on the 16th, so I may pop in to see it!

Cheers

Thanks Jonathan. I'll look him up. Can't read his webpage because I don't have flash installed on any of my computers. Time to go old-fashioned and use the (online) phonebook.

I have done a lot of research, whilst waiting for delivery.
Any paint protection provided by dealers is suspect. $s in commission.
My car is getting its Body Armour 9h applied Saturday, body, wheels and glass.
Lifetime warranty (with annual inspection ) . Not ever having to polish my car, it is worth the money.
