The FRPP Touring cat back is quieter than the FRPP Sport CB. I'm running the FRPP Touring CB w X-Pipe with Kooks LTH(catted) and tossed in Vibrant resonators I used with my SRT4 to remove the metallic tinny rasp at high RPMs. Still on the same setup with my Whipple setup. May go to Corsa Sports for a full 3" soon though.

More vids on my channel.

If you ever plan on doing headers or catless exhaust - get the sports
this is what i just did...SP LT catless and corsa sports...

i don't think the frpp touring catback is quiet at all...and i love the sound, until this certain rpm range at WOT. made me cringe at the farm truck pop(windows down is only time i hear this).

adding headers to it like stoli did really made it clean that part that bugged me up. but i decided to go full 3" of exactly what i wanted and caught my credit card on fire in the process.

i guess i said all this to say if the x pipe or h pipe doesn't add enough volume, you're only move may be headers or the absolute loudest version of every company

IIRC, they're all 2.5" if they're stand-alone resonator delete kits. As far as sound, it won't make a noticeable difference unless the crossover is moved a significant amount (like a few feet). Get the one you want :)

If it were me, I'd go FRPP Touring + X pipe over the FRPP Sport and stock resonator, but also think it goes great with the H pipe.
Thanks. I think I've decided to go with the h. I appreciate the input.

Post a clip when you get it in! It'll sound badass for sure.

Close to pulling the trigger but I'm now looking at the Borla Touring Catback instead of adding an H-pipe. How will this compare to my Ford Touring axle back? Noticeably louder? Better sound?

Certainly louder, but it's one of the, if not the quietest catback available.

So if i bought the ATAK and added the resonator would that be louder than the S-type with x-pipe or would it be quieter?

Hard to know. They would probably be similar with a different tone. I personally prefer the S-type tone (deeper)

Yep. I rolled the touring cat back into the purchase and the dealer installed it after it came in. That was two years ago. Wow!

It's a polite exhaust to your neighbors and fellow drivers unless you make it bark.

I wont lie, kinda miss mine...especially at idle. I now have the corsa sport and headers. Some days I wish I'd stuck with original plan and just added headers to the frpp touring. Oh well, just gotta sell it now. I still think it's one of the best sounding catbacks made

Ok. Having trouble posting video. Says file is too large. Not sure if I like it but it's growing on me. If I changed to the Ford sport axleback how would that compare. Obviously louder but deeper? How about magnaflow street? Louder than ford touring? Drone with an h-pipe? Can't decide.
