Has anybody heard anything on Ford Racing coming out with tunes for the 15s? I would like to get an intake and tune on my GT when I do my exhaust but I'm not willing to void my warranty with a non FRPP tune.

Show me where it says, that your warranty won't be "voided" with an "FRPP tune".

I was just under the impression it wouldn't like all the ford racing parts. That's what my dealer has told me at least.

There's no such thing has having your warranty voided, but an FRPP tune is still an aftermarket part. Regardless of it's branding. So if something goes haywire and blows your motor (unlikely obviously) the warranty process is going to be identical as if you had your car tuned by one of the other tuners out there.

Hmm, I was under the impression you kept your 3/36 when you had a Ford dealer install the tune/parts.

Based on the press release by ford racing on their ecoboost tuning and this is completely false information.

Please inform us where you received this information. I doubt they would offer warranty on one engine and not the other

It's pretty clear (from your links) that the original warranty is voided. It supposedly gets replaced with something else (from Ford Racing) but it'll be interesting to see what happens when somebody needs to use it.

Having said - did FPRP ever said anything about a tune for a V8 ??

Read the language very closely (and don't trust reporters, versus what people here are saying and Ford has said through its reps in this forum).

It says clearly in conjunction with the factory warranty. The warranty on affected parts is covered under Ford Racing not the factory anywhere for 3/36k. It means that your factory warranty will still cover if your radio stops working, but not if you blow a piston. Ford Racing will be a lot harder and longer process to get warranty claims approved.

Ford has already stated through its reps that Ford Racing tunes are considered aftermarket just like any other tunes. Ford Racing itself has offered this warranty approach though, which may or may not be beneficial down the road depending on the problem.
