I have a contact that can make new fob shells with an anti microbial micarta. Micarta is a paper/epoxy material used in a wide variety of applications. We would remove the electronics, batteries and slip key and install into new shell. Micarta is made in a variety of colors. There's even some combination of colors and layered colors available.

I might be interested ... I find the Mustang key fob to be a bit clunky and inelegant. Photos of a prototype and estimated pricing would be helpful.

One thing I want to be able to do... Have the fob be rechargeable because that can be a problem.

The company that would end up making the fobs ghosted me after sending materials to work with. Unlockedcomposites.com has made them in carbon fiber but they block the rf the fobs need to use.

If it's a lot smaller, I'm all in. Couldn't care less about the material.

Carbon fiber blocks the fob from working. Now micarta is a fabric in resin. Similar to fiberglass but with cloth. Smooth, takes to wear very well. Durable and a variety of colors.
