Hey guys, with all the recent news of Ecoboost blown engines I have decided to create a thread with all the motors blown so far.

If your engine has blown please PM details include:

- Build date
- Milage
- Oil
- Transmission (auto or manual)
- Mods
- And a 2-3 sentence description of how it happened

Once I have received the information I will add it to this initial post in list style.

This thread is to COMPILE all the blown motors into one post so we can truly see how many there are without having to go through 50+ pages like in other threads to find out noting.

Feel free to start conversations and present your theories in replies

Blown motor list:

#1. 2015 ecoboost Non PP.
Build Date: 7.3.15
MAP intake installed
Cobb stage 1 ots 93 Oct (mapped to stock at time of engine failure)
NGK plugs
Roughly 5300 on the odo

Was driving from greensburg to Harrisburg and things were completely normal. Pulled off to the side of the road to check my google maps for the nearest sheetz. Proceeded to pull back onto the highway at a normal pull off speed, in normal drive position, in normal mode...and boom...smoke and low oil pressure.

I haven't yet to see a thread with all the motors and contributing factors listed in one place where you don't have to look through a ton of pages to find

Maybe a google doc would be better.

Or maybe someone should just search blown motor and compile it manually then post it up.

Ok, first of all Jeffrey is right. If you're going to do this make a google doc spreadsheet open to everyone (public), otherwise this will get very messy. That way you can make as many data fields as you need and its easily sortable.

The other thing is, if you actually want this to happen I think you and/or other interested parties will have to go search the threads and post the info yourself. If you expect the people with the blown engines to post in this thread I think you'll be disappointed. $.02

If you really want others to contribute to this thread . I think that you should tell us a story of how you really blew up that 2.3 boosted engine ..

I honestly do not think that you were just pulling back onto the highway from a stand still in a normal as you profess ..

You punched IT right , ( WOT ) ! And then ya saw smoke and clunk clunk clunk ....

I am thankful that V6 was still an option when I bought my 2016. I did not want to spend the extra $ for a GT. And I was Leary of the new Turbo 4 cyl. I hope Ford keeps the V6 for along time to come.

No need to be Leary imo. A lot of the same damn motors keep getting brought up in different threads making it look worse.the v6 is solid but All of the various engines have had failures, there are 3or 4 gt350's on here that have failed even.
