Hey guys, with all the recent news of Ecoboost blown engines I have decided to create a thread with all the motors blown so far.
If your engine has blown please PM details include:
- Build date
- Milage
- Oil
- Transmission (auto or manual)
- Mods
- And a 2-3 sentence description of how it happened
Once I have received the information I will add it to this initial post in list style.
This thread is to COMPILE all the blown motors into one post so we can truly see how many there are without having to go through 50+ pages like in other threads to find out noting.
Feel free to start conversations and present your theories in replies
Blown motor list:
#1. 2015 ecoboost Non PP.
Build Date: 7.3.15
MAP intake installed
Cobb stage 1 ots 93 Oct (mapped to stock at time of engine failure)
NGK plugs
Roughly 5300 on the odo
Was driving from greensburg to Harrisburg and things were completely normal. Pulled off to the side of the road to check my google maps for the nearest sheetz. Proceeded to pull back onto the highway at a normal pull off speed, in normal drive position, in normal mode...and boom...smoke and low oil pressure.
