Got my new HX and CWA100-2 setup. I actually had to turn the pump speed down 15%, because there was so much flow/turbulence, it was aerating the coolant. My post compressor IAT @ WOT is now still under 100° after 3 long 60-130 pulls.

@Cory S what was ambient and boost level?

What size lines are you using and did you swap the intercooler intake ports for larger fittings?

The phenolic spacers work amazing if you haven't jumped on those yet too

16psi currently. 79° Ambient at the time of logging. Still using 3/4” lines. First two pulls and it was 83-87° at let off. The combo is working about 35-40% better than the original Roush setup. Recovery is ridiculously fast as well.

That's some crazy low iat for your out put. Nice work

Glad the stock lines still provide a benefit with those parts. I was kicking around these 2 upgrades but like the molded fit of the roush lines and seemed like 1 inch was needed to get the benefit.

With the default IC brick under the compressor, I truly believe larger lines won’t benefit. At full PWM to my pump, it’s pumping a ridiculous amount of fluid already. I also sealed all of my cooling cores around the perimeters and opened the intake inlet 100%. (Removed all honeycomb injection moldings).

I was also able to get my 3/4” hoses over the 1” HX inlet/outlets with some magic persuasion. So the drivers side was super simple and matched the Roush HX nipple. Just had to cut the hose back a few inches.
I had a bunch of 3/4” angled hose pieces, so I made the passenger side work fairly easily with only one union used in the entire system.

Looks like it has more capacity than the radiator now!

What did you use to cover the gaps around the coolers? Some sort of foam? Planned to pull my bumper to see how much improvement there really was.

Compressible Radiator foam strip for gaps 1/4”-1/2”, and clear silicone for gaps less than 1/4”.

@Cory S looks great.
did you notice any warping or distortion in the HE when you tightened it up on the mount?
mine looks like shit now. I never had that happen with the triple pass..

No warpage at all. Your brackets must be pulling/twisting on one of the end tanks when tightened?

Yea that’s what happened. It won’t go back now. Don’t want to mess with it and make it worse so I bolted it back up.
Pretty upsetting given it’s brand new. One bracket must have been bent in or out.

I wonder how this compares to the Whipple oversized HE. That thing is pretty massive!
