I am thinking of ordering the white/Amber kit: http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/...tang-switchback-drl-led-boards/category/1474/
As Papinist said, There are 2 globes in the fog light. The lower globe is the ugly drl. The ugly drl globe and the drl globe socket are all one piece so if you take out the globe then you have an open hole in the back of your Fog light. So I just disconnect the wiring plug and left the ugly DRL globe (with socket) in the back of the fog light. (taped it up so that no water would get in to the terminals of the ugly drl.)
The Bright yellow foglight that should only be used in a fog will still operate as normal. It looks like the second item you listed makes the foglight white. I don't know if that is legal or not in Aus and it should not be on in normal conditions anyway. Only one set of DRLs should be operational on your car and that will be your tribars if you go ahead and buy them. I encourage you to do that.
The white foglight does look good though. I hope this helps. If not then ask away.
I remember now..... my vx commodore had white foglights (dementia)
