Any instructions on how to do that (for those of us, like me, that have no idea!)?
Remove the sidepanels of the centerconsole.
Over there, there is the back end of cigarette lighter connector.

Lead the dashcam connector to the front and plug it in.
Or..

Lead the dashcam connector to the back of it.
But fist solder a new cigarettelighter plug on the back of the existing one and plug the blackvue connector in there.

Bump :D

I'm intend to add a dash cam to my car and each help would be great.

I think buy this product as I see it's really good and I want to film the front and the back of the car :p : blackvue dr650gw-2ch

And now the question is where to connect...

I see Dennis found a way to connect them with a permanent cable that shuts down after 90 minutes.

Can you share with us this information @Dennis_ ?

I much appreciate your help
I just use the cigarette lighter plug in the center console for this.
It auto shuts down power after about 90 minutes.

The lighter plug in the storage compariment in the center console is also auto shutting down power after 90 minutes.

I used fuse 23 that powers with the ignition and shuts down with the car lock down.
Routed the cable under the hood fabric, removed the A pillar trim, behind the door rubber seal and into the fuse box. For ground I used a bolt that is holding the glove box I think.
The camera is behind the mirror, there are NO cables anywhere and it works like a charm.

I'm using this one. Has very good image, sees decent at night and the sound is amazing. It records everything from outside even with the windows down.

What's the cigarette lighter adapter that allows you to plug another 12v plug into it and also has a usb cable coming out of it?

Smth like this. There are many brands making it. But at the heart it's a mini 0805. I payed @70 $ for it. It works at 5 V so be careful not to burn it by plugging it directly like i did. Had to buy another one :( this time i used the lighter adapter, solded some wires to reach neutral and to plug it in the fuse box. Works like a charm.

Just use this. Solder it to the incoming wire of the origional connector in your center console (out of view).
