Have you ever been involved with or built or raced a properly set up race car? When you do it right, you don't need a whole bunch of power.

at sea level 3700 lbs and 500 crank HP (425 whp) will be around 11.3 at 120.

give yourself good DA and you can easily pick up .3 and 3 MPH.....especially considering most people run with crappy DA numbers.

I race in nmra. I remember you do nhra. I generally race people with power adders. I know you dont need lots of power to get a fast et. The cobra jets are a perfect example. Im saying with what we have to work with i dont agree pertaining to Rbs550. Im not saying as a whole it isnt possible. But yes ive properly built manual cars. I think im doing okay running 1.19-1.25 60fts.

Just curious but why do you guys keep referring to Rbs550's traps @ 123? My understanding was that he trapped 125 a few times and a best of 126?

Oh thats right. Im thinking of Stephen he went 123. I confuse those two sometimes. They are the two fastest na cars on the board. You're completely correct. 126. Stephen is full bolt ons no manifold and manual with 3.73s. Rb has the cj manifold in addition and auto.

I was just going off mustang_guy, I think 126 is not realistic for 430 rwhp but I do think 123 is depending on DA and fuel.

I guess we are arguing over whether the orange is an apple or a pear.

It could be unrelated to the CJ. If you have the front/bumper mount UPR catch can double check the compressor plug at the front that crosses over the can. I've forgotten to plug it back in after removing the can to drain it...
Yeah that was it. I found it before I saw your post, but thanks anyway. I feel like an idiot for not seeing it. I looked over the engine bay looking for anything unhooked for a while. lol

Post a link! Cams and everything done?
This will only be for the Cobra Jet and twin 65 TB. I'm currently getting things sorted for the top end build. Trying to find a good place to have my heads ported...

I love how people assume, magazine articles, race dyno's.

It is all on how the car preforms in any racing situation

Ah, gotcha.

I'm lining everything up with JPC for a CNC PnP with oversized valves and custom ground cams added. :D
