I’m dead serious.

MOST buyers don’t track. If they did, I could see the reason to get a CFTP. For the people who don’t track, and if money is no object, they will buy based on looks. For me, the swing spoiler looks better. In fact, I don’t like the look of the CFTP spoiler very much. Now, the CF wheels look better than the base wheels, but I am referring to design, not the look of carbon fiber vs aluminum.

Personally I don’t ever run factory wheels on mustangs because the offset leaves a lot to be desired. They always look too sunken in the wheel wells for my taste, so I’m gonna run aftermarket wheels anyway. That, and I would never want to use the CFTP wheels on the street for the fear of damage. Aftermarket wheels either way.

I will say, the only option I did want that is exclusive to the CFTP is the painted stripes. Everything else base > snack pack for me.
And just like you I could care less about the wheels or the carbon fiber interior, the wing is what caught my eye, but in the end that is what makes us individuals.

Well said. What makes our cars unique reflects on the fact that we are individuals. Each car is tailored and suited to each of us on a personal level. I embrace the differences. Those differences promote diversity.

I've been Jonesing for as long as anyone when it comes to the real deal Holyfield, jacked up and higher in the airstream, since being embedded with Kohr during the 2018 IMSA race season. Ain't been easy but I haven't given up yet...

Prices vary, someone here found it for $14,000 off ford.

Oh as just so you know Ford throws in free shipping when you order it, like at that point it matters anymore.
It’s $14k cost. $26k retail.

I love my wing. APR GTC 500. Btw, the end plates that screw in are there for a reason so you can adjust It if it’s adjustable or switch it out for a better one. I do need to get custom uprights made as I need more adjustability and can only get it as low as 6AOA. But it works as intended. And yes, my trunk is braced as per ford racing programs cars.

Hi there.

I am looking onto a CF hood right now and when I spoke to anderson composites, they said the CF decklid will not support a wing. A modification would be necessary to be able to handle the downforce that the wing produces. Can you share your data pertaining to your decklid reinforcement?

After talking to John at MPR a few times I felt very confident about the quality of there reproduction of the cftp wing. He took the one off there car and will reproduce it exactly. They are only making 3 of them for the first round, 2 were sold and I just bought the 3rd one. I will be buying a new deck lid from Ford, cost around $730. The dealer thinks it comes with the holes drilled already, since it showed 3 different options from no spoiler to one with large wing. Hope I am happy when its all done.

I wouldn't count on the new trunk lid being drilled for the CFTP wing. The factory uses undrilled trunk lids for the CFTP cars and drills them after the car rolls off the assembly line.

My guess too, but either way the holes will have to get drilled by someone. Maybe when they allocate the lid for parts they drill the holes. Just have to wait and see.

You may have to order an undrilled lid and do it yourself. MPR should be able to supply you with a template.

The lid will not come drilled. You would be better off finding a white decklid in a junkyard somewhere and then drilling as opposed to buying a new unpainted lid and then having to drill your own holes and then get it painted.

Best in your efforts!

Curious did you have to pay for the whole thing upfront?
