you should have got a physical key (I did) or you can open one of the fobs and there is a physical key in them, the drivers side door has a slot underneath it for the key.

Is there a way to start the car with that key?

you can take the rubber bottom out of the cup holder, and drop the key fob in it, although with a dead car battery the engine wont turn over, its more or less in case the key fob died, like being dropped in a pool

The manual does not explain how to jump start using the press start. I'm assuming the press start wouldn't work.

There is an emergency key inside one of the key fobs. There's a detailed section in the owners manual about using the little blade key to manually unlock/open the door. The slot for that key is on the bottom of the handle, underneath the cover. That way you can get into the car to pop the hood to hook a charger/jumper cable to the battery.

As long as it doesn't include how to take turns while accelerating in temps below 40:D. You might have some buy it.

This is why I have a battery tender hooked up to mine. Battery will drain with at least two weeks of inactivity. Or you can un-hook the battery to avoid this problem in the future.

This is not what I needed to read tonight. Fly home tomorrow and get in about 11pm. Car will have been at airport for 13 days. I do hope it starts. Might be time to think about a solar battery tender for those extended trips. I might be using the special key real soon it looks like.

Or you can manually unhook the battery to prevent it from being drained. Use the manual key to open and pop the hood when you come back
