Hello everyone!!! Some background.. Just bought a base gt and it's my first stang ever!! I must say I really enjoy the car and am glad there are dedicated fourms where you can go for info. Anyway I went with the base due to price of course. Because I was able to save I have on the way JLT CAI and oil separator. X-4 tuner and magnaflow competition exhaust. Enough of that, what I wanted to know is the gt pp and premium came with the different rear diffuser with the fins. Is this available for purchase? Same car so it would bolt right up if I found one correct? Thanks guys. Glad to be apart of the club.

No worries. Figured it'd help ya out. I think the base rear end looks much cleaner being solid colors. Most say its useless anyways as there is no smooth bottom on these cars anyways.

Diffuser just looks great but so does the solid color so I'll just deal with it lol. Especially since it's one piece and to get that diffuser look I would need the whole gt pp rear bumper. I can think of many better ways to spend money.

Exactly!

Based on your thinking on the first post, we're great minds thinking alike, haha.

It's an aesthetic feature more than a performance feature for sure. I personally like the way both trims look the more I see them, though. I used to be dead set against the base look on brighter color cars, but now that I'm getting used to it it's kind of growing on me.

One potential problem that I've noticed with the Premium diffuser -- I've been trying to back into parking spots when I can rather than head in because I don't want to scrape the front chin splitter on a curb, but the premium diffuser has those strakes that stick down and now I'm afraid that I'm going to back up into a curb and crack them. Backup camera is only so helpful to show you what's directly underneath the rear end.

I prefered the cleaner look of the base and one of the main reasons I went with it, plus I prefer cloth.
