Thanks for all the input guys....I opted for the automatic. Thi si the ony mustang I am going to buy, and while the stick,would be traditional...but I went auto...and hope the paddle shifters will suffice my desire for the stick.
I think you did well. If you have that much concern about the stick, you'll probably be really happy with the AT about 95% of the time. That's been my story. It's not quite as engaging as the stick in some situations, but honestly about as good on a winding mountain road in S+ mode. And, hands down, it wins the drag race. (That's just bragging rights for me, I am not a drag racer).

For me, it's the luxury of dropping it in drive and having a super-nice GT car when I don't want to deal with it, and still being able to have manual shifting with rev matching when that sounds like fun. I'd say the AT is a bit more relaxed and I like that.
