Mine just started doing this at 2,000 miles. Has anyone confirmed if its an actual issue or just annoying? I can deal with the sound but plan on going FI at some point and don't want it to crap out later when more power is added.

It won't crap out just noise.
Mine is doing it too especially when you use the paddles.
Why does Ford use such a complicated driveshaft on a IRS? Most car company just use a solid one piece design.

"Most car company"

Meaning who? The 2 piece driveshaft allows the driveline angles to be optimized; it has nothing to do with being "complicated"

Both my FJ and the RX-8 I sold had one piece driveshaft. Mind you the FJ is a solid axle.
Usually, they just put a u-joint at the ends to allow movement.

That's the exact sound. Could you pin point the sound?

Mine makes this stupid clanking noise. My Ecoboost didn't. When I had my sway bars installed the mechanic took a look and said there was quite a bit of play in the drive shaft

I dont mind the sound but it doesnt sound good, wish someone could confirm any future issues this could cause and if its something worth not having my car for over a day

Would be awesome if you can get someone to help you move the wheel while you are under the car with a light pinpointing where its coming from.

It seem to be coming from the front of the driveshaft. i couldnt fit far enough forward and still move my rear wheel.
Front flange is what fixed my issue... so sounds correct.
