Failed to tighten screw for filter flap AND failed to reset the oil life monitor.
Seriously, it's an OIL CHANGE! :doh:

I got quoted $280 for oil change and filter from Power Ford and even that I was like nah I'll get my mate to do it for 50 bux lol

Consumables: $144.00 8 lt GT Synthetic Edge 5w-20 oil (not sure about the 5w-20)
Parts: $11.78 AA5Z6714A Filter
GST: $26.58

Total: 292.40

Waited 2hrs for this service to be done.

Ford dealers are independent franchises, hence the difference in pricing.
As you blokes may have guessed I am at a rural Ford dealership.
I just got my Service Manager to quote up a 15k service for a '16 GT.
It came out at about $240. The oil we use is the Castrol Magnatec Professional 5W30

sorry let me be clear, 50 bux for labour and filter, i provided the oil

my 15k service was $420 which I think most dealerships charge

Not sure what ryco filter would be equivalent.

In terms of oil so far
Castrol Magnatecpro 5a 5w30
Havoline FS 5W-30

If other have had a service or know the correct oil to use please update this list.

They used Valvoline Synpower FE 5w/30

What about this one, according to my invoice I paid $186 for 75w90 EASYSHIFT which is a jap transmission fluid, I almost had a heart attack when I red the invoice 2 days later .i freaked out that they couldn't be that dumb

RYCO equivalent for V8 oil filter is Z928 and for an EB is Z418 or Z418ST

Myke,

It was due for 3000k complimentary service. No charge.
Thought I would get them to change oil and filter while they had it in the workshop. My idea is to get rid of the original US oil and start fresh.
The oil level was down a bit and I was heading down to Melbourne the next day. Would feel better knowing that engine oil was ok.
Stated the costs so others could use for a comparison.
