They still can, but they order last
Any dealer can ask ADM, but FCA is trying to stop it. So if a dealer does ask ADM, they will have to wait until other dealers get there's that sold for msrp or less. So if someone wants one and learn they have to wait, they will find another dealer. It mostly likely won't stop all ADM, but should limit it. Hopefully other manufacturers will follow. Kudos to FCA.

Something slow
Bring back that and a lightning
The Ranger and the F-150 are far too large and heavy to make another Lightning, and the Raptor strategy is super profitable. Unfortunately no more Lightnings.

A new single cab short bed F150 is considerably lighter than the old Lighting.

You clearly haven't been to Texas. Single cabs are all the rage down here especially in South Texas. Vortec Max swapped and H/C/N 5.3 single cabs, cammed single cab Hemi RT's, single cab SRT-10's and then there's me with my 2014 single cab 5.0 STX sport. It was one of only two Blue Flame Regular Cab 5.0's STX sports available in the nation when I bought mine in 2014. The other one was in Cali. Luckily I only had to drive 4 hours to a small dealership in Clifton, TX to get mine. There's not many single cab Fords because Ford decides not to make them. Trust me there is a huge market for them here in Texas. If I could do it all over again, I would've bought a 4X4 version of my truck so I could do 4WD launches. Like this guy in the video.

BTW, My 2014 weighs right around 4800 lbs. The new ones are in the 4200lb range. That is not heavy at all and would absolutely fly in Lightning form. A Ranger version (Thunder) would rock too! Just don't put a damn V-6 in the Lightning and I might be tempted to trade my 14 in on one! Put an ecoboost 6 in it and I'll just add a TVS to mine instead. If you're listening Ford, please bring back the stepside bed too while you're at it. My 14 is screaming for a stepside bed to break up the slab look of the rather tall bed sides.

I honestly don't think Ford can beat that time with a SC GT350 per se. It will need to be pretty special. I believe Ford CAN do it, but the car might be too focused on track and lose its driving run on the street. Hopefully not.
