Looking at getting a set of 6GR wheels or some other wheels for my GT350. Looking to beef up the tires compared to what's on it from the factory. Nitto has the Invo in 305/30ZR19 and 325/30ZR19. Will they fit? And has anyone run them? I don't track my car and I'm not interested in what weighs the least and all that. With the huge 335 meats on the rear of the GS I'd like to get something a little wider on the 350. IMO the stock 305's are a little narrow for the platform

My experience but not on the GT350. Show car then they are a good tire....if you plan to track it then there are far better options.

I don't plan to track the car but if I do decide to I might get some sport cup 2's to mount on my OEM wheels for track days and either sell the stock tires or hold onto them for a rainy day

I don't want something that's going to handle like crap on the street though. What other options are there? I couldn't find many and I know our options are slim. Any issues with jumping to those sizes front and rear?

Compound is more important than a little extra width IMO. I have not run the invos, but I would say they are step down from the MPSS.

Yokohama has the ADVAN NEOVA® AD08R in 295 and 305/30 19 not sure how those are but really want to go wider at least a 315 but prefer 325 in the rear.

How do the Sport Cup 2's wear on the street? And handle in rain? I don't mind buying a set a year or 2 but don't need to be sliding into anyone either!

Direct from their specs:

Warning: Pilot Sport Cup 2 radials meet DOT requirements, however they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. This is especially true of shaved or worn tires. And like other Streetable Track & Competition tires, these tires are not intended to be stored, serviced nor driven in near- or below freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

They're garb. Invos are basically on Continental DW levels of grip with worse wear characteristics, more noise, and less predictability. And I would never run Conti DW's on my 350. Not because I think the DW's are bad tire (actually they're a wonderful road tire) but because I can't get myself to take such a step backwards in performance.

Invo's are ancient. I put a set on my '06 GT and they were notably mediocre.

Super Sports at 295 front and 305 rear would out perform Invos at 305 front 345 rear. ALL day.

it was explained to me that invos are a tire that people buy because they spent a lot on a big wheel, and then don't have enough money for a good tire because everything wide and low profile are $$$.

if you daily commute to work or car shows then these are okay. but if you do any "spirited" driving, these tires will cause your car to underperform and disappoint.

They were recommended to me by the salesperson at Lebanon Ford (Frank). He has them on a '13 with 700+ HP and he loves them.

IF you really want to go wider, look at the 30 aspect ratio tires. 305/30F, 325/30R. You can get the pilot SS in that size or bstone RE-11s

When i purchased my MRR350 from Paul I had the Nitto Invos put on the wheels. I only got aboot 9000 miles on rear tires 325/30/19. Got 285/35/19 for the front and actually still have them on the car with about half tread left. The 285's 260 tread wear the 325 are 220. In my opinion they are a good tire, but it depends on what you want them for. On concrete better than average. On pavement not the best (but most tires wont be). They are an older tire but still have the best lookin tread pattern imo. Tires are like opinions. There is a lot to choose from. Invos are better then most

I like those RE-11's I'll have to look into those  tire rack wants a hair over $1300 I'll see what the shop can get them for. I get a hell of a deal on rubbers since they order so many from their supplier. My Toyo M/T's on my truck retail over $3k and I got them brand new out the door mounted for $1900 :headbang: Basically I get them at cost...
