The R splitter is currently $2590 list price. Any dealer should be able to do better than full list. Part no. FR3Z-17D957-AC

The R splitter looks really similar to me. Is it just a bit elongated?

Well at those prices...I'd argue it would be worth it for a primarily street-driven R to put the non-R splitter on and stash the original for track days.

After talking to Randy Pobst about it, a primary street-driven R would make for a very unhappy owner....

(reason I sold my R spot and picked up a regular 350 instead)

HOLY KRAP! - PRICE GOUGED UP THANKS TO ALL THE FAKES AND V6 CLONE LOVERS.

Splitters get tossed around like candy - replaced often - R owners shouldn't have to pay 2 grand for a plastic tray. Ford needs to come up with a way to verify ownership if they want to keep the part out of the hands of the masses.

I think you're right if it were your only dd choice. After only a few weeks on dd'ing my R, it's getting a little old worrying about the scraping. (let along the noise, lol).

Though, otherwise, it's an entirely civilized beast to live with and I'm glad Ford didn't soften it too much to appease too many people.

I have to super careful getting in and out of my driveway (which isn't bad at all) and everywhere I go I'm concerned about scraping the splitter andthe wheels.

That said, for my situation, I wouldn't change a thing.

Yeah same # that was on the box our cars came shipped with.

But the part # I posted is the service order no. thru Ford parts. I got these numbers directly from my FL dealer's parts dept... so as previously posted: Non-R is FR3Z-17626-E and the R is FR3Z-17957-AC again if ordering thru the dealership.
