I have a track pack with 4,400 miles, just back from the service where they fixed the drive mode selection unavailable.

Drove about 15 miles on the highway and then 10 miles on back roads, mostly in 2nd gear at 5k and over RPM, and some in 3 gear, at lower revs.

External temp was 80 deg. Isn't the read below way too hot? That's hotter than when I went to Palmer raceway.

Are those temps coming down within 5 mins of normal driving? I'll see those numbers after some spirited driving. My oil temp is usually down to 220 within 5 mins of light cruising. Next time I take her out, I'll look at some of those other parameters and report back, but I say normal.

With the humidity yes, it is right in line with what I am seeing. Here in California 95F with 5% humidity I saw a high of 243F oil 4000-5000 RPM. It comes down to 230f in just a few miniutes in 6th. I guess that is why it uses such heavy oil.

Yes they do come down quickly, a couple minutes at 3k rpm and it loses 20 degrees. and they go up very easily too. I get to 230 from cold like it's nothing. When I did a track weekend at Palmer I was running in the 230s although it was colder outside.

Do you have track pack?

The only thing that seems high is cylinder head temp, I've had engine oil temps over 270 with no issue so far
