Why bother? The OEM rims are different widths and off-set, so they cannot be rotated.

Is there any difference between going 285 all around or going staggered like you have?
Not really. The front ride height will be a little higher with the 285/40's, and that's about it. With 275/40 fronts and 285/40 rears, both ends get a lift of about 1/4". The ride height changes but the stance stays the same. With 285'/40's up front, the front end will be up by about 3/8". I doubt anyone will notice the 1/8" extra height. As for improved handling with wider tires, well, they're all seasons - very good but not spectacular, so the extra width doesn't do much for you.

Don't know if they'll work on a GT350, but I put a set of Cooper Zeon's on my MACh1. I bought a set of HP replica wheels that are 19x10's squared so I can rotate. They're discontinued, but Tire Rack shows them still available in 305/30/19's. Weird that OEM for the GT350's are a 35 series and the MACh1 is a 30 series.
Anyways....I've had them now for 5000 miles and have no complaints. Would I track them??? Probably not, but they are a 50K mile tire that do the job on the street.

When I owned a GT350 and was driving occasionally in colder weather, I just bought some cheap aftermarket rims and used those. I prefer having a good set of summer tires on the stock rims.

Try going to tire rack and searching for tires in the OEM size. That will give you a list of all available in that size and they have good ratings to see which one works best in certain situations like wet, cold, snow etc.
And if you need more help, call them. Their tech folks are pretty good at helping you find the right tire for where you live and the condition range that you may experience.

Oh, crap! I've had two sets of the Zeons and currently running the 305/30's - they've been great all-season tires. Doesn't look like Cooper has a 30-series tire on their website now, so after this set will be back to the drawing board. I'm in the same boat with winters that get down well below 40* for long periods so AS was my only real choice. I do have a dedicated set of autoX wheels with stickies when I need them.

FWIW, I am running Pilot Sport A/S 4s on my "poor boy's GT350" , a heavily Steeda model Bullitt, and have no regrets as this isn't a track car but is a very capable street beast.

These numbers were from some guick runs on local back roads, and yes they could have been a bit better on "summer tires", however I am willing to give up that extra bit of grip at 9 or 10 10ths for the better wet performance, better ride, less road noise and extended tread life...I have also used the A/S tires on other performance cars (XJ8R , CTS-V & V70R) all Michelins in factory sizes with no regrets, so if you aren't going to track it I think you will be happy with the A/S tires, OBTW they are less $ too.

OP, why in the world are you making this so complicated? First off, GT PP wheels will not fit. If you use spacers for any other wheel other than stock non-R specs then you need longer studs in the front and open lugs. Secondly, for tires go with super sports in OEM size. Or PS4’s in 30 series. That’s it, done, end of story. I wouldn’t go tracking or hitting the mountains in 30-40 temps either way in any tire. For daily driving you will be JUST FINE.

Agreed. Just go with the supersports. Don't floor it out of your driveway when its 30 and you'll be fine.

I live in North Georgia. I would go with Super Sports. They are completely fine in 30-40 degree weather. Used this tire for years on all of my performance cars.
I agree. Not a snow tire, though.

PS4s are much more forgiving in cooler temps, don’t seem to suffer as much from heat cycles (become hard), and have good wet weather characteristics vs the SSs. Perfect performance street tire for daily driving.…not all season though. A lot of driving in cold wet and light snow…need AS3…lose some dry performance with those though.

I got "tired" of swapping out winter tires and wheels on my 2019 Bullitt and put the michelin AS4s on it. Very happy. Went with 265s up front and 275s out back. The speedo is off a few mph, it does sit a tiny bit higher in the front but the handling was much better than expected. The car does ride much better. The stock tires were horrible in low temperatures, no grip at all. I need to sell my OEMs and winter setup but this is the wrong thread. Try the AS4s, is my recommendation. PS, I went to the dealer to drive/buy a new GT350. It was sold so we brought home a new Bullitt.

Hello Everyone,

I’m new to the community and just recently picked up my 17 GT350.

I know this has been discussed but I can’t seem to find a thread with direct answers. So please forgive me if this question has been beaten to death.

What are my options for all season tires that fit on stock wheels?

I’ve looked at the pilot sport all season 4 285/40/19. But I would like to know what are my other options?

Thanks
Here’s a thought: I just sold my gr350r and I kept the custom Savini (5 Double spoke) wheels and almost new Continental Extreme Contact tires mounted and balanced! I bought them for all season driving, then sold the car after 300 miles. The wheels are 20” x 10” front and 20” x 11” rear. They look new…and they practically are! I bought 20” wheels so cleaning around the brakes would be easier, it gave me a little more ride height so no scraping, and the Extreme Contact tires are excellent! Tires are 285/30zr20 front and 305/30zr20 rear with just 300 miles on them! I’m selling them all for $2800 OBO + shipping and in throwing in my hub centric 15mm spacers for the front end. But unless you have the “R” you won’t need them. 717-891-2062. Steve
