As I said in a previous post, having had PD and turbo cars before, most notably a CTS V and a volvo V70R, I knew what i didn't like about both so I decided to go Centi with the goal in mind of "driveability" on the street as I wanted to build a very capable yet civilized road car that would be...
Well, I went and did it, ordered the G3X kit with a G4 intercooler...having had cars with Turbo and PD in the past, I figured it's about time to try a Centi since I already knew what I didn't like about the others ...
Wow, you guys must have been reading my mind, as I am getting ready to do the ESS G3 thing to my Bullitt and was going to ask for opinions/advice before I drop the dime on it...
I am "guestimating" mine at about 510 at the flywheel with the Steeda tune and X pipe on 93 octane, however as I don't have access to a dyno locally I'll stick with the "calculated" figure for now...but then there is the FI option that I've been thinking about...
I don't have a Mach1, but my Bullitt is close enough...I've been running the Steeda tune for almost two years now and still have no regrets, as the car not only runs noticeably better but gets better gas mileage too, a win win for me.
Oh please, you can't be serious...dumping a Bullitt for a 35 year old Eurocar...not in my world, having owned several imports I learned that they are like "trophy wives", high maintenance and hard to keep happy, having said that I think you should do whatever makes you happy and good luck with...
Wow, memories of "back in the day"....I, like RazzaRossa had a '67 GT 390 4sp but it was silver and cammed, carbed and headers, oh and did I mention also grenaded which led to the '70 mach1 pictured below, 428 Super CJ Drag Pack Automatic.
Then one day I discovered Corvettes....a bit slack on...
Don't know if this'll help you but I have a "blade" on my Bullitt that I got from Steeda about a year agothe car is lowered and the ground clearance at the lowest point under the front blade is about 5 1/4 inches and I have no clearance issues Except with parking spot stops
Sounds like you have a perfectly "normal" MT-82, had/have the same issue with my Bullitt to some extent even after doing the shifter, transmission mount and motor mounts, all Steeda, between those mods and adjusting my driving style it has become a non-issue until it's time for a clutch as folks...
I have the same setup plus a lot of other Steeda stuff under my Bullitt, minus the Whipple however, and yes it does tend to be a bit rough riding and seems to bottom out in the rear on crappy roads which fortunately I don't encounter often where I live...however I am happy to trade a bit of...
