350R arrived today...

My day just got much better...installing the splitter at the shop tonight. Other goodies will follow in the next couple of weeks getting ready for NCM Motorsports Park.

Interesting. One of the front stripes is darker than the rest. I have a feeling it is from the regular GT350 since it has a darker blue stripe - just used the wrong one.

The service manger got a kick out of the burnout I did in the service bay on the way out - he had to get the cleaning crew out!

I swear.
When I was in tool and die ford was the biggest pain in the ass when it came to Q1.
My car had...
2 broken bumper cover to carbon core support tabs.
A door ding dent in the passenger side door.
A pencil eraser sized outward dent in the left rear wheel arch.
A glued on paint chip on the hood.
A gouged center counsel arm rest.
The rear bumper cover clear coat had a ton of dust in it, and under the clear coat was deep sand scratches in the paint.
Both black rocker panel trim pieces were dented.

I'll NEVER buy another $66000.00 ford again. I'll buy a $150k Porsche first.

They can't even get your stripes right! Pure bs.
They may of well just put a green stripe on it.

That's my twin! Sorry about the stripe. Mine was so bad that it was cracked and broken into pieces. I took the opportunity to change mine to black from Big Worm graphics. I'm sure you have seen Oxford with black before. The big worm graphics FWIW are much better than stock, cut perfect and great instructions for $350. It sucks Ford can't execute this stuff on a limited edition car. Ford should have no issue fixing it and should charge it to warranty but will tell they have order the whole stripe kit blah blah. I got them to let me have my vinyl guy remove the bad stripe and pay for my black set from Big Worm. I would not let the dealer do the stripe work..

But don't let it bug you. The car is awesome! Congrats!

Exactly. I just came from a GT3 to try the R (wanted to try American and didn't want as much money wrapped up in a car). The first few weeks were rough as I looked at all of the little flaws compared to a German built car. The R has a huge smile and performance factor for the dollar but Ford still needs to work as much on weight reduction in their cars and fit and finish as they do performance. Not a fair comparison to Porsche but they continue to lighten each model every generation..

Exactly...I don't want those guys to make things worse - they will have to pry that car from my cold dead hands! This is purely a track car for me - it does not bother me one bit about the stripes. A couple of weekends at the track and the stripes will be messed up just like my last GT350 and look like shit.

Apparently, they source it out to a third party. This why on the ETIS the first ship date is to them for the stripes. Then, it goes back to the main factory and shipped from there. They need to award the contract to the "lowest and Best" bidder - not the lowest.

Funny...I already have a deposit on the first 2018 R they get in. The owner of my dealership was also awarded a Ford GT for his collection - fortunate man!

The car is very well built and rigid. From an engineering standpoint, this car is spot on and performs its purpose very well. It far overshadows all of the other stuff. I feel just as inspired in my GT350/GT350R as I do in my P-cars and it has nothing to do with that stuff - it is a quality car for the money.

Of course...one can send their car to Fisker and have an interior like a P-car for 30K and still save 60K...
