Nobody is saying they are better.
All I said is I'd rather have the 65-66.
I think people are assuming I mean the classics are better performance and nowhere did I say that.
Ok so now I'm a troll?
Explain how?
How many people on this GT350 thread have or owned a car from the 70s or older? How am I full of myself? Just because I'm in that line of business my whole life?
PP001 assumed that because I'm 45 that I never driven a original gt350 because I myself would...
Look this is where you sometimes act like you know all.
You're in the 2% range. I know you know classic cars. I also know classic cars and maybe 1 or 2 others on this thread. But you're the one who threw the first assumption saying that you doubted that I ever driven a original gt350. Have you...
I'm not saying the new GT350 doesn't have soul or performance etc. I'm just saying if I had my choice between 65-66 or 15-18 hands down for me would be the 65-66.
A month?
I am laughing.
I waited 3 months after my build date and I live 15 miles from flat rock.
I ordered my car June of 2015, built on October 21st 2015 and received January 19th 2016.
Looks like they didn't change.
Have I driven a R? of course not. Have I driven a 66 gt350? Yes once. My dad owns a restoration business and I had the chance to drive an original 66 GT350 over 25 years ago. Although I didn't race it or track it, I can say I have more experience in classic cars then 98% of the people on this...
I have a brand new set of Maximum Motorsport camber plates still in the box if anyone is interested. $230.00 shipped to the lower 48.
Call or text me for pics if interested.

Id take an original 1965-66 GT350 / R over my 2016 track pack or new R any day. Those are "real" cars in my opinion. The 289, top loader, 9", koni, etc ruled.
Because no matter how you try to explain this to them they never believe a word you tell them. It's like arguing with them about how the F series out sells them. See my point.
To many idiot GM and Dodge guys think the gt350 is sent to Shelby America by ford and that SA is doing the upfitting and tunig. I just seen on FB that many think this and thought how great the zl1 was coming from GMs plant and beating a specially modified car by SA.
Ignorant dumbasses.
They...
Sure does.
Give the vin to your dealers parts department guy and he can tell you the options by the vin. (If the cars already produced)
Interior options
Color
Engine
Trans
Diff
Gear
If it has stripes
Radio
Etc.
I understand what you're saying, but! The stock brakes are just production car brakes. For stock production brakes they are excellent and are very good but for a serious track brake they are not.
The stock brakes are:
- The calipers are heavy.
- R calipers are Painted and when used...
You seem to be the only one that's into the 401a, 901a etc. nobody else uses them but you.
Nobody with a gt350 says I have a 900a package. It's either base, tech, track or R. Or a GT performance pack etc.
