3.15 vs. 3.55 rear gears in a '16 GT w/Auto trans??

id go 3.55. once you add drag radials, the 3.15 basically sucks down low. from a dead stop expect some bogging especially with the GT350 manifold and Cat Deletes I had. and this is with both Lund and an AED tunes.

The startling line ratio ( slr) with the auto and 3.55's is 14.80. If you had a normal 3 spd( th400) with 5.13 gears the slr would be 12.72. Just shows you how aggressive these cars are off the line

Even the 3.15's are more aggressive than 5.13 gears with an slr of 13.14.

You are correct, and as I've said above I will be replacing the entire pumpkin/differential and not just the gears.

As well, the cost of just replacing the gears (if it were possible, its not) you would need the ring/pinion, and shim and crush sleeve kit, and have to pay someone to properly set the lash/backspacing.

In the end, it will be cheaper for me to replace the entire pumpkin as I can do the swap myself.
How hard is this to do? and where can you find a used 3.55 pumpkin for $500?
