Yeah I dont know how Ford sleeps at night putting 235s on. Guess Im just gonna have to change them out. For 275s...255s minimum. You will be spinning, and more to the point, you will have no lateral grip.
My Focus St had 235's, and that size tire on a Mustang makes me cringe.
Also, they look like crap.
You could have went 10.5 with better tires.:shrug:I've been 11.1 @ 135mph on the stock 235's. Bigger tires just weigh more...
I am well aware, the post was about the stock 235's. Being able to cut mid 1.7 60' with a stock suspension, stock 235 tires with a stick makes the tires not shit. :cheers:You could have went 10.5 with better tires.
Ok,but it's a horrible example. Do you cut mid 1.7s consistently? If yes you might want to look into a career change. Professional drag racing pays well. For the other 99.99999% of people out there. The 235 all seasons are not the optimal performance set up.I am well aware, the post was about the stock 235's. 235 tires are satisfactory for a DD. And they are relatively cheap to replace. I have M/T and I like to see the TC flash on occasion. Makes my commute slightly more fun.So Im looking to buy a 15-16 GT. I love everything about the car but the tires. 235 seems wayyy to small. And Im not a big fan of the performance pack wheels and tires set up. Do the 235s really hook up well or am I gonna be spinning all day?
